Double opt-in
Every subscriber starts pending. Nothing is mailed until they use the confirm link.
When someone submits the widget, their status is Pending. SendRSS emails a confirm link. Until they use it, they are not mailed.
The confirm email notes that joining is by consent, and links to SendRSS’s privacy, terms, and GDPR pages.
There is no soft confirm. That protects the reader and your sending reputation.
Publishers see statuses on Subscribers. Readers who lost the email can submit the widget again to get a new confirm link.
