A FeedBurner alternative for Blogger that keeps the list yours

Blogger already has a feed. For years, FeedBurner sat on top of it and mailed new posts. Google stopped that email service in 2021. The feed still works. The inbox part does not.

If you still publish on Blogspot and want readers in their inbox, you need something that does the job FeedBurner used to do — without renting the list, putting ads next to your excerpt, or sending people to a reading page that is not yours.

What a FeedBurner alternative has to do

It has to take the RSS or Atom feed Blogger already exposes. It has to let people join from the blog. It has to mail new posts. And it has to let you leave with the addresses.

Typical replacements fund a free tier with ads in the letter, open pixels, or a hosted page that keeps the click. That is a different product than “email my posts.”

Why it fits Blogger

Blogger still publishes RSS. SendRSS does not ask you to write the post a second time in a campaign builder. You publish on Blogspot. The feed updates. Confirmed readers get the letter.

The letter has no ads and no open-tracking pixels. We do not sell data. Unsubscribe and data deletion sit in the same email. You can export the list as CSV whenever you want.

Start on the free plan

Free is enough to replace the old FeedBurner habit on one blog: one feed, one list, three widgets, 100 confirmed subscribers, and one RSS email per list per day. Widgets and letters include a small SendRSS credit. Pro and Business raise the caps, send more often, and let you hide the credit.

Pending stays pending until the reader uses the confirm link. That is slower than FeedBurner’s old “subscribe and you are in.” It is also how the list stays people who meant to be there.

Move in this order

1. Create an account and add your Blogger feed (the blog URL is enough if we can find /feeds/posts/default).
2. Create a list on that feed.
3. Create a widget, publish it, and paste the script on Blogger.
4. Save RSS email with that list and a template.

Subscribe with your own address. Confirm. Publish a post. The next letter should send the reader back to Blogspot — not to a page we host.

If you also need a launch note that is not in the feed, that is a broadcast on Pro or Business. RSS email still does the daily work.
