Four steps for a new publisher: feed, list, widget, then RSS email. The rest of the sidebar can wait.
You do four things, in this order. The rest of the sidebar can wait.
A checklist is on Overview. On other workspace pages, open Setup guide in the corner (or from the sidebar).
1. Add a feed
Open Feeds. Paste your website or the RSS/Atom URL and save.
If you paste the site, we look for the feed. If that fails, paste the feed URL itself.
A feed is the source of posts. It is not an audience, and it does not send mail by itself.
More: Add a feed.
2. Create a list
Open Lists. Name the list, pick that feed, and save.
A list is the audience. Widgets collect into it. RSS email sends to it. Each list follows one feed.
More: Create a subscriber list.
3. Create and embed a widget
Open Widgets. Choose the list, set copy and look, then save. Copy the script onto your site (or the iframe if the theme strips scripts).
Everyone who joins starts Pending. They are not mailed until they use the confirm link.
More: Create a widget and Embed a widget.
By site: Blogger, WordPress, Ghost, Squarespace, HTML.
4. Save RSS email
Open RSS email. Choose the list, then a saved template or a pre-designed template. Choose Save.
That is the only send you start. New posts then go out automatically on your plan cadence. Each list can have only one RSS email.
You do not need a saved template first. Pre-designed templates are already on that page.
More: Send RSS email.
Try it
Subscribe with your own address. Confirm from the inbox. Publish a post (or wait for the next one). Check the report on RSS email.
Free: one RSS email per list per day. Pro: up to 8. Business: up to 24. Pending subscribers are skipped.
What to ignore on day one
- Templates — optional. Save your own look later, then pick it on RSS email.
- Broadcasts — one-off notes on Pro and Business. Not for new posts.
- Subscribers — fills in as people join and confirm.
- Support, Billing, Account — when you need a human, a plan change, or an export.
What each page is for: The publisher workspace.
