Help for publishers and readers
How to create an account, run the workspace, and leave. Publishers: start with Start here. Search as you type — no full page reload.
Getting started
What is SendRSS?
RSS-to-email and lead capture for publishers. A widget, a confirm link, and mail that sends readers back to the post.
Create an account
Sign in with Google or a one-time email link. That click creates the account. There is no password.
Use Google or a one-time email link. There is nothing to remember except your inbox.
Start here
Four steps for a new publisher: feed, list, widget, then RSS email. The rest of the sidebar can wait.
The publisher workspace
What each sidebar page is for, and what you can skip until you need it.
Try a widget without signing in
Paste a site or RSS URL on the homepage to preview a capture form. Embed it after you create an account.
Account
There is no password reset
SendRSS has no passwords. Request a new sign-in link, or use Google.
Update your profile
Change your display name in Account. The sign-in email cannot be edited there.
Close your account
Delete the workspace in one step. A hashed-IP audit record is kept for admin. Subscriber lists are not.
Export your account data
Download a JSON copy of the account, feeds, subscribers, and tickets from Account.
Appearance and cookies
Light or dark is an essential cookie. Optional extras on marketing pages stay off until you allow them.
Feeds
Add a feed
Paste a website or RSS/Atom URL in Feeds. We find the feed when we can. Plan limits cap how many you can add.
Edit or pause a feed
Open a feed to change settings or pause polling so new items are not picked up.
Delete a feed
Deleting a feed removes its items from SendRSS. Lists and subscribers on that feed are also removed.
How RSS email is delivered
New feed items become a letter to confirmed subscribers. Each plan caps how many RSS emails a list can send per day.
Send RSS email
Save a list and template once. New posts then go out on your plan cadence. Each list can be used only once.
Lists and subscribers
Create a subscriber list
A list belongs to one feed. Widgets capture into the list. RSS email uses the list as the audience.
Delete a list
Removing a list deletes its subscribers and the widgets attached to it. RSS email for that list stops.
Double opt-in
Every subscriber starts pending. Nothing is mailed until they use the confirm link.
Subscriber statuses
Pending, confirmed, or unsubscribed. Unsubscribed keeps the row; erase removes it.
Export subscribers
Download CSV from Subscribers or Account. JSON export covers the whole account.
Unsubscribe vs erase (publishers)
Unsubscribe stops mail and keeps the row. Erase deletes the address and events for that list.
Widgets
Create a widget
Create a list first, then a widget. Plan limits cap how many widgets you can save.
Customize a widget
Pick a look, then change colors, type, corners, layout, and copy. Blank headings are omitted.
Save a widget
Saving stores the design and copy. Embed the snippet after you save — drafts on the builder are not live.
Embed a widget
Copy the script or iframe from a published widget. Then follow the steps for Blogger, WordPress, Ghost, Squarespace, or any HTML site.
Add the widget to Blogger
Paste the Script snippet into an HTML/JavaScript gadget. Use it on every page for a modal or floating bar.
Add the widget to WordPress
Paste the Iframe snippet in a Custom HTML block. Use the Script snippet in the site footer if you need a modal or floating bar.
Add the widget to Ghost
Paste the Iframe snippet in an HTML card for an inline form. Use site footer code injection for a modal or floating bar.
Add the widget to Squarespace
Paste the Iframe snippet in a Code block for an inline form. Use site-wide code injection for a modal or floating bar.
Add the widget to an HTML site
Paste the Script snippet where the form should appear. Works on static sites, custom themes, and any host that allows HTML.
Delete a widget
Deleting a widget stops the embed. The list and subscribers remain unless you delete those too.
Widget layouts and looks
Inline, modal, or floating bar. Ten free looks. Pro adds stacked, split, poster, masthead, dock, well, and ribbon forms.
Email templates
Create an email template
Saved templates style RSS mail. Pre-designed templates are available on RSS email. Broadcasts pick a look when you send.
Customize an email template
Change layout, colors, and branding. Attach the template when you save RSS email.
Delete an email template
You can delete templates you own. Pre-designed templates stay. Change RSS email to another look first if it still uses this one.
Article vs broadcast templates
Article mail follows the feed. Broadcast templates style a one-off letter to the list.
Broadcasts
Create a broadcast
Pro and Business can write one constrained letter to a list. Save a draft before you send.
Send a broadcast
Send to confirmed subscribers on the list. Large sends may wait for review. Quota is monthly.
Broadcast approval
High-volume sends can wait for review before they go out. You will see the status on the broadcast.
Delete a broadcast
Drafts and leftover records can be removed from Broadcasts. Mail already sent cannot be pulled back.
Billing
Plans and limits
Free, Pro, and Business cap feeds, lists, widgets, subscribers, and broadcasts. Yearly saves 30%.
Upgrade your plan
Choose Pro or Business on Billing or Pricing. Checkout is handled by our merchant of record.
Downgrade your plan
Extra feeds, lists, and widgets stay, but you cannot add more until you are under the new limits.
Yearly billing
Pay for the year and save 30% versus monthly. Renewals and refunds follow the refund policy.
Invoices, portal, and refunds
Open the billing portal for invoices and cancellation. Refunds are handled by the merchant of record.
Privacy
What we store
Accounts, feed URLs, subscriber emails, hashed IPs, and delivery events. We do not sell data.
Hashed IPs
We truncate the address, then hash it. Admin audit logs after account closure use the same method.
Contact support
Publishers open a ticket in the workspace. Everyone can use the public contact form.
